The Village Council meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Homer Village Hall, 130 E. Main Street, P.O. Box 155, Homer, Michigan  49245-0155.  In addition to their regular Council Meetings, the Village Council serves on four (4)  Standing Committees. 

Homer Village Manager

The Village of Homer is a Council-Manager form of Government. The Village Manager is responsible for the day to day operations and the implementation of the Village Council’s Policies. The Village Manager serves as an ex officio of all the Village Council Standing Committees. The Village Manager is also the Planning Administrator. The Planning Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 130 E. Main Street, P.O. Box 155, Homer, Michigan 49245-0155. Homer Village Administrative

The Bookkeeper-Clerk is responsible for payroll, budgeting, accounts payable, water/sewer billing and administrative assistant duties. Teresa Hayes is the Bookkeeper-Clerk and can be reached at (517) 568-4321 or email at clerk@homermichigan.org

The Treasurer is responsible for collecting water and tax payments, reconciling bank accounts, setting up tax roll and collecting tax payments and answering & directing phone calls. The Treasurer is Dawn Renfroe and can be reached at (517) 568-4321 or email at treasurer@homermichigan.org

Homer Department of Public Works - Utilities

The Director of Public Works-Utilities is responsible for the streets, water and sewer utilities, parks and building maintenance, and a variety of municipal services. The Director of Public Works-Utilities is Jeremy Staggs and he can be reached at (517) 568-4321.
